NEW YORK — The Yankees look forward to opening their season with a home game against the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday.

The Yankees finished spring training with a 14-11 record and have set their pitching rotation with Gerrit Cole starting against the Blue Jays. Domingo German, who had an excellent spring training season, regained his spot and will start against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

One of the key players for the Yankees this season is outfielder Aaron Judge. Teammate Clint Frazier addressed Judge’s potential power breakout after he hit a 440-foot home run against the Phillies March 25. “It’s just a matter of time,” Frazier said. “He’s a special player, and I’m a lot smaller than him, so I don’t try to emulate his game too much.”

The best news for Yankees fans is that Gov. Andrew Cuomo allowed stadium capacity at 25%. Fans will be looking forward to watching their team make another push for their 28th World Series title; the team lost that chance to the Tampa Bay Rays in the second round of the playoffs last season..
