LOS ANGELES, Calif. – It has been nearly a year since MLB teams began postponing games due to COVID-19. As spring training continues, Dodgers fans can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
On Wednesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California ballparks would re-open to fans as early as April. There is no guarantee yet, but this could mean in-person attendance for the 2021 MLB season.
The Dodgers will play their home opener on April 9 against the Washington Nationals.
